Let’s start this whine fest a little differently, shall we?

Let’s put forth the positive in my life before I digress into lament mode. Fair is fair and fare as well, yes? So I’ll reach through this screaming headache, dig about, and bring forth some jewels to shine forth through the regular tumble jumble of thoughts.

I am a strong person, capable, in so many ways. I can and have faced enormous odds and events and come through not a purely nihilistic negative bitch cut off from the joys life can hold, but even stronger, even more capable, and definitely very appreciative of the truly important joys—the key ones that happen in every day, the tiny things that really make all the difference in the world as we view it.

And view is everything; perspective frequently the greatest measure life can offer us human ants, by way of value.

I have two of the greatest kids on the planet, who amaze me with their intelligence, their empathy, their compassion—as well as the wisdom they hold, at least for now, to learn from the mistakes of their parents. With any sort of luck, they will make their own, wholly new, mistakes and errors, as all kids and adults should have the freedom and ability to do.

I have a mom who has faced horrors I have yet to imagine in scope, and still can see some sunshine, most days, as she has this curious thing called unfailing hope and true faith that I seem to never have been born with a capacity for. And soon she will happily be near, a regular part of the family. We’ll be one cozy hopefully South Philly commune together, multi-pupped and all. (Speaking of which, cheap 4 bed row in S Philly eagerly sought, rent-wise.)
